Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud has been in excellent form with the ball in the English County Championship. His swing, pace and bounce have been putting opposition batters under severe pressure. Today, another Bangladesh pacer, Khaled Ahmed, joined him.

Kent County Cricket Club also made a superb start against Derbyshire this time. Bangladesh’s pacers claimed all three of Derbyshire’s first three wickets.

Kent captain Daniel handed the ball to Hasan in the very first over of the innings. The pacer produced a fiery spell with the new ball, giving his side a breakthrough with the first delivery of the innings. He had Harry Came caught by Crawley to send him back to the pavilion. With the very next ball, Hasan trapped Matt Montgomery leg before wicket. By taking two wickets in successive deliveries, he put Kent firmly in control of the match from the outset.

Meanwhile, another Bangladesh pacer, Khaled Ahmed, made his County debut for Kent. He also got his first wicket on debut, trapping Yousaf Bin Naeem leg before wicket. That means Bangladesh’s two pacers have taken all three of Derbyshire’s first three wickets.
