Bangladesh whitewashed Ireland in the recently concluded Test series. The two teams are now set to face each other in the T20I format. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday (November 23) announced the squad for the first two matches of the upcoming series, introducing two changes from the side that last played against the West Indies. Pacer Taskin Ahmed and batting all-rounder Shamim Hossain have been left out.
Pace-bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin and wicketkeeper-batter Mahidul Islam Ankon have been included in their place. This marks Ankon’s maiden call-up to the national T20I side.
The first match of the series will be held on November 27, followed by the second on November 29. The final match is scheduled for December 2. All three matches will take place at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.
