Organisers said the event is part of a broader initiative to integrate golf into corporate culture and strengthen engagement between diplomats and business leaders through informal interaction, emphasising networking, discipline and leadership.

The GolfHouse Diplomatic Cup Golf Tournament 2026 concluded on Saturday at Jolshiri Golf Club, bringing together members of the diplomatic and corporate communities in a day-long sporting and networking event.

Jointly organised by GolfHouse and Corporate Tour, the tournament aimed to promote sports diplomacy, with participation from diplomats, ambassadors, expatriates and corporate leaders.

Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.

Around 76 golfers, including ambassadors from 20 countries, took part in the tournament, according to organisers. The event also featured activities for non-golfers, including putting contests, driving range sessions and a raffle draw, before concluding with a closing ceremony and lunch.

In the diplomatic category, Satyapriya emerged as champion, followed by Nazrul Naaim Othman as first runner-up, Eliza as second runner-up and Vu Quang Thang as third runner-up. In the general category, Shahin Babu won the championship, while Go Fursawa, Dr Md Neyamul Islam and Tahmid Mahmud secured the first, second and third runner-up positions, respectively.

The tournament was presented by Baraka Group and Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as title sponsors. InterContinental Dhaka and Turkish Airlines joined as platinum partners, while several other organisations supported the event in different capacities.

Media partners included Ekhon Television, The Business Standard and The Daily Bonik Barta, among others.

Organisers said the event is part of a broader initiative to integrate golf into corporate culture and strengthen engagement between diplomats and business leaders through informal interaction, emphasising networking, discipline and leadership.
