On Monday (August 5), at 2:30 PM, Sheikh Hasina left Bangabhaban aboard a military helicopter. She was accompanied by Sheikh Rehana and other family members.

According to a report by News18, she arrived in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, India, later that afternoon. The Tripura police confirmed the news, as reported.

The report also mentioned that upon the helicopter's arrival in Agartala, the road from the airport to the Circuit House was closed. The outgoing Prime Minister of Bangladesh, along with her sister, then proceeded to the Circuit House in Agartala.
