In
light of the current law and order situation in Bangladesh, India's Border
Security Force (BSF) has heightened its alert along the India-Bangladesh
border. This decision was made on the afternoon of Monday (August 5), as
reported by the Indian news agency ANI.
A
senior BSF official informed ANI that the Director General of the Border
Security Force has already arrived in Kolkata. This move comes amidst the
recent unrest in Bangladesh, where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from
her position on Monday. She has since left the country by helicopter,
accompanied by her sister.
