Import and export operations through the Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria resumed on Tuesday morning (June 10) following the Eid-ul-Azha holiday break. The trading activities restarted with the export of fish.
Md Hasibul Hasan and Md Faruk, C&F agents at the land port, confirmed the development.
Traders said all commercial operations at the port were suspended from June 6 to June 9 due to the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
Businesses from both Bangladesh and India had been informed about the suspension in advance. However, passenger movement through the port continued as usual during that period.
