The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) once again announced an increase in gold and silver prices in the domestic market. Under the new pricing structure, the price of 22-carat gold has risen by BDT 5,482 per bhori to BDT 230,422.
In a statement issued this morning, BAJUS said the new prices were set after considering the overall market situation, particularly the increase in the price of tejabi gold (pure gold) in the local market. The revised prices came into effect at 10:00 am.
The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at BDT 219,983 per bhori, according to the new price list. The price of 18-carat gold has been set at BDT 188,549, while gold produced under the traditional method will now cost BDT 153,557 per bhori.
Most recently, on June 13, BAJUS raised the price of 22-carat gold by BDT 6,590 per bhori, setting it at BDT 224,940. Prior to that increase, however, gold prices had been reduced in four consecutive adjustments.
So far this year, gold prices have been revised 75 times. Of these adjustments, prices increased on 39 occasions and decreased on 36 occasions. In 2025, gold prices were revised a total of 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
BAJUS has also increased silver prices by BDT 233 per bhori. The new price of 22-carat silver has been set at BDT 5,365 per bhori. The prices of 21-carat silver, 18-carat silver, and traditional-method silver have been fixed at BDT 5,132, BDT 4,432, and BDT 3,324 per bhori, respectively.
So far this year, BAJUS has adjusted silver prices 46 times, with 24 increases and 22 decreases. In 2025, silver prices were revised 13 times, including 10 increases.
