The High Court has granted bail to former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Selina Hayat Ivy in two cases filed with Siddhirganj Police Station. Additionally, appeals in 10 other cases are scheduled to be heard next Sunday.

A High Court bench comprising Justice KM Zahid Sarwar and Justice Sheikh Abu Taher issued the order on Thursday.

Barrister Sara Hossain, Advocate Motahar Hossain Saju, and Advocate SM Hridoy represented Ivy during the hearing.

Ivy’s lawyer, Motahar Hossain Saju, confirmed the bail and the upcoming appeal hearing.

He told Bonik Barta, “Selina Hayat Ivy has secured bail in two cases today. Earlier, she had obtained bail from the High Court in 10 cases. But the state filed appeals against those orders. The appeals in those 10 cases will be heard next Sunday, and we expect the cases to be dismissed on that day.”
