Dense fog caused a multi-vehicle collision on the Dhaka–Mawa Expressway in Munshiganj on Wednesday morning, injuring several people, according to local highway police.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Kuchiamora College Gate, involving three passenger buses and a covered van. Highway police rushed to the scene to assist and clear the wreckage, which briefly disrupted traffic on the expressway for about 30 minutes.

ATM Mahmudul Haque, officer-in-charge of Hasara Highway Police, confirmed the damaged vehicles have been removed and normal traffic flow has resumed. He said the injuries were not serious and attributed the accident to dense fog combined with driver negligence and reckless speed.

Highway authorities urged motorists to be extra cautious and reduce speed when driving in foggy conditions to prevent similar accidents.
