A seven-member commission has been formed to investigate the BDR massacre. Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury shared this information on Monday (December 23) during the BGB Day medal distribution ceremony at the headquarters of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Pilkhana, Dhaka.
The Home Affairs Adviser announced that the commission was set up to investigate the BDR mutiny that took place on February 25, 2009, in Pilkhana. The commission was formally established after the Chief Adviser signed off on it last night.
He added that the commission would be chaired by the former Director General of BGB, A L M Fazlur Rahman. Other members of the commission include two members of the armed forces, one teacher from Dhaka University, one teacher from Jagannath University, a civil servant, and a senior police officer.
