No information of sabotage; security forces ready to tackle any situation

“We're ready to tackle any situation," said the Home Affairs Adviser after visiting the National Eidgah.

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said today (March 30) that the law enforcement agencies are ready to tackle any situation during the Eid-ul-Fitr.

“We're ready to tackle any situation," he said after visiting the National Eidgah.

Replying to a question, he reiterated that there was no apprehension of sabotage or attack. "Any sabotage or conspiracy will be dealt with strictly with the support of the people," he said.

The Home Affairs Adviser said that around 3,500 Muslims, including many dignitaries, will offer prayers at the National Eidgah on Eid Day.

Members of the law enforcement agencies have been put on the highest alert surrounding the Eidgah ground, he added.

Responding to a question, the Home Affairs Adviser said that those who fled the country and took shelter in Kolkata are criminals. “If they try to create sabotage by staying in Kolkata, action will be taken against them,” he added.

The Home Adviser said all possible measures have been taken to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Adviser Jahangir Alam visited the Sadarghat Launch Terminal and Kamlapur Raiway Station earlier this morning to inspect the overall situation there.
