Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that the current generation represents the future of the country and must be prepared to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.
He made the remarks on Sunday while addressing students attending a luncheon at the VIP Cafeteria of the National Parliament Building. The prime minister hosted the luncheon, and students, teachers and visitors from various educational institutions who had come to observe a parliamentary session attended the event.
PM Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam Rony said that the guests included 29 law students from the Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 underprivileged students and teachers brought by Surabhi, a partner organisation of the Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), and 16 students and teachers from the Tejgaon College Debating Society.
The prime minister interacted with the students and discussed various issues with them, according to Zahidul Islam Rony. He encouraged them to give equal importance to sports alongside their academic pursuits and to develop themselves into competent, skilled, and responsible citizens.
He further said that the prime minister told the students that the current generation is the future of the nation and therefore must be prepared to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.
