Chief Justice swears in 7 new members of PSC

The ceremony took place on Sunday (March 2) at the Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court.

The newly appointed seven members of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) have taken their oaths, administered by Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed. The ceremony took place on Sunday (March 2) at the Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court. Supreme Court Registrar General Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan conducted the oath-taking.

The individuals who took the oath are—Professor Ferdous Arfina Osman of Dhaka University, retired Foreign Service officer Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, retired Additional Inspector General of Police Md Munir Hossain, Professor Shahnaz Sarkar of Bangladesh Agricultural University, former BCS Health Cadre officer Professor ATM Farid from, Professor Md Sharif Hossain of Dhaka University, and Brigadier General (Retd.) Anwarul Islam.

Judges of the Appellate Division, Supreme Court administrative officials, and PSC members were present at the ceremony.

Earlier, on February 18, the Public Service Commission (PSC) appointed seven new members, with a related notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.
