Four new faces set to take oath as cabinet members this evening

The new cabinet members will be sworn in this evening, just after Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s oath as president.

Four more individuals are set to join the cabinet. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Andaleeve Rahman Partho and Sa Ching Prue Jerry are set to take the oath as ministers, while Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln will take the oath as a state minister.

The new cabinet members will be sworn in this evening, just after Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s oath as president.

Relevant sources indicate that the president will administer the oath to the three new ministers and the one state minister. The Cabinet Division has already been in contact with several of the prospective ministers and state ministers.

BNP sources have reported that Sa Ching Prue, a member of parliament for the Bandarban constituency, is set to take charge as the minister of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.

Shamim Kaiser Lincoln, the member of parliament for the Gaibandha-4 constituency, will take on the responsibilities of state minister for the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abdul Moyeen Khan, a member of the BNP’s Standing Committee, will also take the oath as a minister. He is the member of parliament for the Narsingdi-2 constituency.

Andaleeve Rahman Partho is the chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), an ally of the BNP. He is the member of parliament for the Bhola-1 constituency.
