To commemorate the July mass uprising, honor the martyrs, and highlight the incidents of repression by the Awami League government, the Ganabhaban is being turned into the ‘July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum.’ No tenders will be invited for the construction and renovation of this museum. The interim government will carry out the work through direct procurement, without issuing any tenders.

The Advisory Council Committee on Economic Affairs held at the Secretariat on Tuesday (July 15) gave in-principle approval in this regard. The meeting was chaired by Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed. After the meeting, the Finance Adviser informed reporters that the total cost of renovating and constructing the ‘July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum’ will exceed BDT 1.11 billion.
