Tarique Rahman, chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), is set to pay a courtesy call on Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Ameer Syed Rezaul Karim, known as the Charmonai Pir.

According to the IAB media cell, Tarique Rahman will visit Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim’s residence in the Shiddeshwari area of Dhaka on Monday evening.

Earlier on Sunday evening, Tarique Rahman visited the residences of Shafiqur Rahman, ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and Nahid Islam, convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP).

A post on the BNP’s verified Facebook page claimed that the meetings are part of an initiative by Tarique Rahman to foster positive political engagement in Bangladesh following the 13th national parliamentary election.
