Another 184 doctors have been appointed through the 48th BCS (Special). Earlier, 3,263 candidates were appointed on January 22, 2026.

The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday. It said the newly appointed doctors include 165 assistant surgeons and 19 assistant dental surgeons.

The newly appointed candidates have been asked to join at the offices designated by the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health on September 7.

Unless further instructions are issued, they must join the respective ministry or division on that date. Candidates who fail to join on the scheduled date will be deemed unwilling to take up the posts, and their appointment letters will be considered cancelled.
