Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir conferred rank badges on five officers recently promoted to the position of Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP), including Faruk Ahmed. The ceremony was held on Sunday at the Police Headquarters.

The other officers who received the rank badges as Additional IGPs are Md Mushfekur Rahman, Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Md Moniruzzaman, and Rezaul Karim Mallik.

Last Thursday, the government promoted five senior officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Police Cadre to the rank of Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP), Grade-2.
