NCP Convener Nahid Islam announced Nasiruddin Patwary as the party’s mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation and Asif Mahmood Shojib Bhuyain for Dhaka North City Corporation.

He made the announcement at a discussion with prospective councillor candidates from various wards under Dhaka South and North city corporations at the NCP office on Sunday afternoon.

Nahid Islam also instructed party leaders to identify prospective councillor candidates, focus on ward-specific civic problems, maintain regular contact with the families of those killed and injured in July, and keep a close watch on sabotage activities by the ousted and fugitive Awami League.
