Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has reappointed his recently resigned special assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Md Sayedur Rahman, to the same post. The Cabinet Division issued a notification of the appointment on Thursday, January 1.
The order grants Dr. Rahman full executive authority over the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Under the Rules of Business, he will now wield the ministry’s complete administrative and policy-making power.
His salary and all ancillary benefits will be equivalent to those of a state minister.
Dr. Rahman had previously served as special assistant to the chief adviser in the same ministry. He resigned from the post last month before being reinstated today.
