Rajshahi City Corporation’s administrator vowed on Thursday to reshape the metropolis, following government directives and the prime minister’s call for a more beautiful city.
Mahfuzur Rahman Riton spoke at a meeting in Nagar Bhaban that the corporation’s engineering department had organised.
Riton told officials that the corporation, as a citizen service institution, must deliver services irrespective of political affiliation and act with honesty to burnish its reputation.
He instructed staff to complete the next 90 days of work on schedule, accelerate ongoing projects and finish incomplete work promptly.
The administrator also ordered the construction of roads and drains in all 30 wards to improve citizen amenities. He emphasised maintaining quality across all work.
Chief executive officer Md Rejaul Karim chaired the meeting. Supervising engineer Ahmad Al Moin Porag presented details of ongoing development projects.
