Mirza Fakhrul calls Hasina a disgrace to humanity, urges trial

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Hasina can never be forgiven. Hasina is a disgrace to humanity, a disgrace to mothers, she will not be forgiven, she will be tried.”

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said, “Hasina can never be forgiven. Hasina is a disgrace to humanity, a disgrace to mothers, she will not be forgiven, she will be tried.”

He made the remarks at the ‘Mass Uprising 2024: National Unity and Democratic Journey’ program at the shrine of Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday (July 20). The program was organized by the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Krishak Dal and the Amra BNP Paribar (We are BNP family). At the event, a neem tree was planted for each martyr in the shrine premises.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “The boy who made me start dreaming, a future my family dreamt of; he was taken from us. Taken in the most brutal, heartbreaking way. He was shot dead, collapsed, and then put into a van. Without checking whether he was alive or dead, more bodies were loaded, and then they were burned. Just think, we are citizens of a free country. We fought the war of 1971 for this independence. The police and administration of this country are supposed to work for the protection of the state, paid with our tax money. And today they are burning and killing my son, my child. How cruel, how barbaric.”

Mentioning that BNP will create a fund for the families of the injured and martyred in the July revolution, he said, “I said it yesterday and I repeat it today, the election will be held, whether he will get the responsibility or not is another matter Today I will request the Acting Chairman on behalf of the party to create a fund so that the injured and families of martyrs can be rehabilitated. In the meantime, Amra BNP Paribar, have stood by the injured and martyred families in the July movement.”

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, Krishak Dal President Hasan Zafir Tuhin, General Secretary Shohidul Islam Babul, and Amra BNP Paribar Convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon were present at the time.
