In line with notifications issued by the Cabinet Division on August 16, August 27, and November 10, the interim government’s Chief Adviser has assigned Ali Imam Majumder, the Adviser to the Ministry of Food, with the additional responsibility of Adviser to the Ministry of Land.

The government has officially entrusted Ali Imam Majumder with this additional responsibility of Adviser to the Ministry of Land. The Cabinet Division issued a notification on Monday (January 20).

The position of Adviser to the Ministry of Land has been vacant since December 20, following the death of A F Hassan Ariff due to a heart attack. As per the Rules of Business, the responsibilities of a vacant adviser position are automatically transferred to the Chief Adviser until further appointments are made.

The notification confirmed that Ali Imam Majumder, while continuing as Adviser to the Ministry of Food, will now oversee the Ministry of Land as an additional duty.
