The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh this year (BG-3501) landed at Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah today (April 29) at 7:30 am with 414 pilgrims on board.

Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Md Delwar Hossain, welcomed the pilgrims at the airport. Also present were the Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Md Mainul Kabir, and Counselor (Hajj) Md Jahirul Islam, along with other officials from the Bangladesh Hajj Mission.

Officials from the Saudi side were also there to welcome the pilgrims. Among them were Engineer Mazen Jawahar, Adviser at the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, and Salman Albalawi, Director at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with other representatives.

The ambassador wished the pilgrims a safe and fulfilling Hajj journey. He assured them that the Bangladesh Embassy, Consulate, and Hajj Mission in Saudi Arabia are ready to assist them with anything they may need during their stay.

The arriving pilgrims expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and smooth arrangements at the airport. This year, a total of 87,100 pilgrims from Bangladesh are expected to perform the holy Hajj.
