Three more children have died with measles symptoms at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in the past 24 hours, bringing total child deaths at the facility this season to 38, hospital authorities said on Saturday.

Dr Shankar K Biswas, hospital spokesperson and emergency department in-charge, gave the figures at midday. He said 24 new patients with measles symptoms had been admitted over the same period, while three received discharge.

The hospital currently has 149 suspected measles cases under treatment in isolation. A total of 377 patients have received care in the measles isolation ward so far this season, according to Dr Biswas.
