Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman announced on Wednesday (November 5) that he plans to resign from his post to contest the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election. He made the announcement at a press conference at the Attorney General’s office.
“I have requested a nomination from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),” Asaduzzaman said. “I am hopeful of receiving it. When the time comes, I will resign and run for election under the BNP banner.”
Sources indicate that Asaduzzaman intends to contest the Jhenaidah-1 constituency, representing the BNP.
